The Research School is mainly focused in radio and infrared astronomy, but it also incorporates research opportunities at other wavelengths, especially with a multi-band approach, as well as theoretical research in astrophysics.
This will provide students the appreciation and understanding of complementary tools for the interpretation of radio and infrared observations. Research themes are galaxies and active galactic nuclei (AGN), interstellar medium of the Milky Way and external galaxies, astro-chemistry, star formation in the local and the early universe, our Galactic center, and late phases in the evolution of stars.
