Luminous accretion disks

Abstract.
we find a new two-temperature hot branch of accretion disk
solutions. These solutions correspond to accretion rates higher than the
critical rate of ADAF. In these solutions, the energy loss rate of the
ions by Coulomb collision with electrons is larger than the viscous
dissipation and it is the advective heating together with the viscous
dissipation that balances the Coulomb cooling of ions. Compared to
ADAF,
the electron temperature in this solution is moderately lower while the
scattering optical depth is larger. This solution is much more luminous
than ADAF.
