This receiver is a two channel system for the prime focus. It uses uncooled FET preamplifiers built in the Institute. It was constructed and also used mainly for VLBI experiments at 408 MHz, but later modified for use either at 408 or 430 MHz for line observations. The system is not at present usable for continuum polarisation measurements without some preparatory work. A phase shifter to equalize the phases for polarisation measurement is not available.
! This frequency band is partly susceptible to interference !
