Optimizing the Radial Focus (FC1)

23-Mar-1993 / jn

At shorter wavelength it is desireable, that also the radial focus (FC1) could be optimized by the user, like it can be done with the axial focus (FC2) using the OBSe-Procedure FOCUS.

For the radial focus (FC1) we introduced a new OBSe-Procedure

RFOCUS <c_mode>

      /DEFAULT /LENGTH_FC <mm> /TIME_FC
/STEP_FC <number>

with the same input parameters like FOCUS. Using this procedure one can update the current value of SFC1 by the fit comming out of the observation.

This is done by the verb CORRECTIONS in the same way like for SFC2 only attaching the adverb /RFOC.

For example:

CORRECTIONS    *    *   F   /RFOC    updating SFC1 with the fit values

CORRECTIONS    *    *   -5  /RFOC    setting SFC1 to the value of -5 mm

Without the adverb /RFOC the axial focus values (SFC2) are updated or set.
