On May, 7 , 2003 we changed the system clock
used for
the telescope process environment from MEZ to UTC. This was necessary
in order to avoid problems with new instrumentation, which uses
Universal Time (UTC) delivered by GPS. Normally in the data or DAPs
the archived time was and still is UT creating no problems to user
programs, which use that time.
However, for archived pulsar data there is a change
in the zone
time, because the time of the system clock was used directly (before
this changement MEZ, but now UTC).
In connection with that also the VAX- and the
SUN-computers
have been changed to UTC.
